I like the look of that Freddie Turner, the young East End boxer. 5-0 and hasn't lost a round against somewhat mediocre opposition it must be said.
A good pure boxer with good shot selection. He seems to have every punch in his arsenal. His only let down may be the lack of pop (he is yet to have a KO win). But I think he won something like 100 Am bouts out of 120 or so. One to watch. |

Fellas, Not mentioning him for this thread, but just wondered what happened to Joe Murray? The kids been so inactive. Has he got an injury or maybe having promotional problems? This is probabily the most important stage in his development and i can't even remember the last time he fought. It really pisses me off how these guys are brought along and treated. It's so counter-productive.

cheers mand' he is a good operator, hes a real hard worker in the gym, and is showing improvements, i do think he needs to start getting tested soon, i'd fancy him to outbox tony hill and that could set up a clash for the english belt with nick blackwell, another local lad who i think is connected to keith mayo (owner of our gym and local promoter who kelvins signed to) and id actually fancy kelvin in that, so 2012's got the potential to be a breakout year for kelvin if he can get the match ups, a british title shot in a year or two isn't a pipe dream by any means

also what about the kiddie in prizefighter george jupp? he looked a decent prospect and i liked the realism, he could do well i think (i'll whisper it, but i thought he was a touch unlucky not to get the nod over choi, thought it was a very close scrap)

, Funny you say that he's got the movement of the head like Dunne but a little different cos of stance. Lake must work hard on that aspect of the game. Really made Dunne the class fighter he was.

Watched John Ryder sparring ten solid rounds with Eric Ochieng recently - lovely spar and Ryder seemed to grow stronger as it went on, he's got a good engine. I think his team fancy a fight with Billy Joe Saunders down the line. What a match up that would be. Saunders, in sparring, looks exceptional.
