Otuo Saba. Real deal or hype job?

After seeing him make an appearance on bunces show I would be interested in everybodys take on the guy.

For those who don't know who he is. Otuo is a 17 year old who boxes out of the peacock. YouTube sensation since he was about 11, he looks the business on the pads. Style similar to Mayweather. According to the recent interview he has been over to mayweather's gym and has been doing the rounds with pros since he was in his early teen (with the likes of Ian nappa)

What interests me was that in his 6 years of boxing he's only had about 15 amatuer bouts and now he's talking about going pro. Sounds strange for someone so dedicated.

Can anybody shed any light on this situation?

Guy from my gym beat him. I think hes on the Nigel Benn documentary fight of their lives hes the guy on the pads.

Bag's and pad's don't hit back, Remember saying it to a guy when working out in gym. This applies to that kid, I'm not impressed with way they always try show him off on pads and push him to front. Ok he can do speed pads? i've seen a bit of his fights on youtube and his gifted athletically but nothing makes me go wow. He's decent for his age and could progress well but don't like the shoe shining on pads fool you.

He has access to a trainer and gym work pretty much all time i believe as well.

got beat easily by jake bateson and avoided ted cheeseman of fisher and archie sharp of bodyshots yet gets insane amount of attention as the next big thing just because tunde ajay is his gaurdian harvey horn of repton gave him a good pasting in sparring as did jack noakes of newham.
His trainers are so gassed they even tried saying he was better then luqman patel who youse to box for repton and dale youth even though luqman has boxed for England won the CYPS twice when luqman asked to box him at bantamweight (even though hes a natural light-fly) tunde deleted his comments and never replied. Every time he loses they call it robbery even when he lost fairly to mcdonagh of the lynn in the junior abas last year goes to show its not what you know its who you know lol

Also you ask the lads on here who know or thing or to and they will say best place to learn is in ring. He's 17 and only had a few fights that shocking..

Thanks for sharing, I must admit i did wonder myself about this lad.

Did he say 2 rounds of sparring a week as well? Or something like that.

I like the kid but if you look it's the pads that move fast not the hands. Kid's hands are barely moving at all.
