In another article on the same site, it says that Team Floyd is NOT looking at Sergio for May 5, 2012. Not sure if this was another botched comment by Team Floyd (as was the Ellerbe/Floyd contradiction on fighting Sergio at a catchweight), who may have not realized Sergio is fighting Macklin on March 17, or if there were just second thoughts. Or something else.

Hopefully, with Arum clarifying matters, Team Floyd will consider moving off the May 5, 2012 date in order to make the superfight happen.

Unless, that is, they want to risk being seen as ducking Pacquiao (again?) by the public.
If Mayweather was Plan A the date wouldn't matter you fuggin' sap. Bob is talking out of his butt just to cover his tracks & you idiots eat it up

Not sure about the first question. Haven't followed that discussion particularly closely.

Ditto on second question. Do I think a larger venue would bring more revenue? Yes. Do I think it would bring in double the revenue? Don't know.

You don't know? Assuming you've taken basic math classes, then you know for them to bring in double the revenue with double the seats, then the average ticket price would have to remain the same. So I'll ask you this, how likely is it that they could price an additional 20,000 seats(all of which would be non premium seats) at the same average price as the 18,000 seats at the MGM Grand(which would all be closer and would include premium seats)? Unless you're incredibly stupid, the obvious answer is that they wouldn't be able to do so.

I read an article where they crunched the numbers and estimated Bob's stadium could generate $12M. This before the cost of the stadium is factored in. Bob claims it will cost $7M to build, which is probably a low estimate. So that means we're talking an extra $5M, at best, to split between the two camps. Considering all the money that is at stake, do you think it's reasonable to insist on this late May date for $2.5M? Keep in mind that Mayweather has to go to jail June 1. So if there is a delay in building this stadium, the fight can't be pushed back, and Mayweather could be without any opponent. This of course would cost him 10's of millions of dollars. So if Manny fights on May 5th, he might lose under $2M at the most(The opportunity cost would be much greater if he fights someone other than Mayweather). Mayweather could lose out on 10's of millions if he agrees the later date.

Before it was announce mayweather jail sentence was delay to june 1, Arum even said (read it paulfv you stupid pactard) pacquiao could possibly fight marquez for the 4th time on may 5th. But after it was announce about floyd jail sentence delay, all the sudden pac cant fight at may 5th cause what was the excuse again? The cut hasnt healed? Mgm is the small venue? The cut hasnt healed is a flat terrible excuse cause vitali eye was way worse then pacquiao but yet his next fight was over 5 month later. The small venue was a flat out another terrible excuse cause arum act like mgm grand hasnt put huge fights after huge fights. Where was trinidad vs de la hoya held? That wasnt one of the biggest fight in boxing history since leonard vs hearns 1? Tyson vs Holyfield? Lewis vs Holyfield rematch? De la hoya vs Vargas? Hopkins vs De la hoya that sold out and had a million buys? De la hoya vs Mayweather still is the highest ppv draw of all times in which that fight was where again Paulfv?<<<Tell me where were all of those fights held? And why would mayweather even lie to the judge about may 5th was booked? Are you that retarded?

Paulfv is a ****ing hack and is on the TR payroll.
