Firstly, when the hell did Petkovic get so fat? I remember him as a slightly fleshy cruiserweight. I liked him too, and thought he'd get somewhere. Dude needs to retire. NOW.

But the bigger issue, the refereeing. On a global basis, the judging of fights is often goes from peculiar to downright incompetent/corrupt. However, and it's unfortunate to say, you don't tend to get refereeing this bad anywhere but Germany. It's a rare occurrence, but 'rare' is not rare enough.

I'm defensive of European boxing, and German boxing in particular, but this is a disgrace.

That was a shit performance by the ref. Salif should have won by KO. Yea Petkovich is big, He NEEDS to loose weight, retire, or be a journeyman.
