I dont think it's fair to comment about PRIDE doing the same thing in Japan
True, but two different markets all together.. If all of them can be compared, I guess we can call this a stalemate

PS- I've had a crush on you for years

Since this seems to depend on your own personal idea of how far a sport can go before it becomes "sports entertainment", how is this going to be settled?
I'm not sure why any of it matters. Fans expect perfection and live in these weird moral universes devoid of reality. Corruption has existed in the fight business since the 1800's. Just enjoy the fights and forget the rest.

Haggis is a thick ****, I'll be the first to admit it, but a politician above all else.

I think you go a little further than calling out fanyboys when it comes to The UFC, you're very opinionated, but that's just me.. I'm not going to search.

Nothing but hugs

It isnt, Haggis is going to repeat the same stuff over and over. Shouldnt have got involved really He seems obsessed with uniformity and difference of opinion seems to offend him also. If it aint your thing Haggis, fine. But you are hounding, and that's the right word, everyone who mentions PRIDE with basically the same post. Live & let live

J-MMA is more rooted in the Sports Entertainment side, and that's a cultural thing. Sometimes it's a welcome change of pace to have sushi when you have been dining out on burger and fries for all year (see what I did there )

As I said earlier, just enjoy the fights.

Yeah, the fight business has always been corrupt, but that unreasonable expectation of perfection has kept the corruption at a low level. It's a healthy attitude. I suspect that pro wrestling evolved the way it did because the early fans didn't demand as much honesty.

It's a forum. 'we' post opinions. Kind of makes sense though to make claims that can be substantiated when you decide to get personal though.
