no no no Jeff. According to the rules Khan should've been counted out. That's if U understand the rules well.
Nothing to do with bias, rules are rules.

limond was not hurt by khan's speed or power he went down because he lost his balance caused by the burst ear drum, its also happened to him in sparring.

Limond on world mission

by Bert Mitchell

FORMER Commonwealth super featherweight champion Willie Limond will today confirm his signing of a three-year promotional deal with Braveheart Promotions.

And the Glaswegian has targeted 2008 as the year that will finally see him challenge for a world title.

Limond revealed: "I am delighted to have signed with Barry Hughes at Braveheart. I had several offers including a couple from down South, but Barry has offered me a deal that has a clear path to a world title shot. That's what it is all about for me.

"My first fight will be a challenge for the IBO Inter-continental lightweight title at the SECC, on March 29.

"At 29, I feel I am at my peak and, if I am to realise my ambitions, this has got to be my year. We have a couple of options for an opponent who is recognised at top level.

"Meeting quality fighters over 12 rounds at title level and helping to bring pro-boxing back to the SECC for the first time in a decade is very exciting for me."

Its tremendous news that Willie has signed with Barry Hughes, he will take good care of Limond
Cant wait to see him back, & hes going to have an even bigger fanbase now after his barnstormer with Khan.
The futures looking bright for Limond now that hes with Braveheart promotions

Willy Limond Desperate for Amir Khan Rematch

Feb 8 2008 By Hugh Keevins

WILLIE LIMOND almost rocked boxing to its foundations in July when he knocked golden boy Amir Khan to the deck before being robbed of a momentous victory by a disputed count from the referee.

Yesterday the Glasgow flyweight got himself a new manager, a new venue to fight in and a renewed determination to force a rematch with Khan.

Limond signed up with Barry Hughes' Braveheart Promotions and will christen their three-show deal with the SECC in Glasgow when he fights for the vacant IBO Intercontinental title on March 29.

But it's Khan who Limond really wants and Hughes said: "Willie is more than due his second chance at Khan.

"I want to put 2500 people in every seat of the arena we'll use at the SECC and the only way I can do that is to have flagship fights with flagship boxers.

"I took all of the fighters in my stable to see Kevin McIntyre win the British title from Kevin Anderson at the end of last year and we were all lifted by the moment.

Now I want Willie to train, fight, win and leave everything else up to me."

Limond put Khan on the floor at London's O2 Arena and it was estimated the count was at 14 when the defending champion rose unsteadily to his feet before rallying and winning by a stoppage.

The Scot said: "Before the fight the talk was Khan would blow me out of the water but I proved I was better than that. Now I want to show I'm not the nearly man and that could be done by getting another tilt at Khan."

The more immediate target for Limond is the British lightweight title held by England's Jon Thaxton.

I was gutted for Willie after his contoversial loss to cotton wool Khan. It would be great if he can get his career back on track.

iam glad willie has signed with braveheart, alex morrison done nothing for him and allowed him to be kept inactive in the months before he fought khan to give china chin the very best chance. Good luck willie, (but dont expect a rematch untill your at least 35!!!)

I read about Limond challenging Khan to a rematch on The Herald website also - says he believes they have unfinished business and thinks he can go one better than last time. Doesn't want to be remembered as the nearly man.

Realistic about his chances of getting Khan in the ring again - says he needs to win a title that will appeal to them first but believes he earned another shot. Made a reasonable point about Khan getting a long count against him and that if the tables were turned and he went on to win Khan's camp would have wanted a rematch asap.

limmond would **** thaxton up, i think if he fights khan now, khan would TKO him in 5 rounds, he needs to get a few wins under his belt before he looks to a potential rematch with khan
