Yeah, it's rare that you find someone who won a previous encounter (let alone by KO) being cast as the underdog in a rematch...but it does happen from time to time. Especially when the win in that first encounter was considered a big upset or carried whisperings in some circles of having been a fluke.

Guarantee you Kirkland would be favored at even longer odds than this against Ishida.

lopez is seen as the better fighter even though he lost by ko last time.
i think the reason lopez's a big favourite is because in the last fight, he was going through some personal problems and it looked as if it affected his performance in the ring.
does a fit and focused lopez beat salido? i think so.

The judges had it a draw before the stoppage. I am beginning to think that if Salido cant hurt him, he might not win.

We know that he definitely can hurt him - the question is whether JuanMa has smartened up and finally figured out how to behave when hurt. (rather than just hope his chin carries him through as it almost didn't against Mtagwa...and didn't against Salido the first time...)

I just re watched the fight and you are right. It seems to me that a more defensive game plan wont work for Lopez. He has to know how to deal with getting hurt. If he doesn't know that then i am not worried.

Guys let's not forget Lopez was going through marital difficulties around the time of the fight. He beats Salido in rematch. 2100 odd on juanma
