Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam vs. Max Bursak is scheduled for Friday April 20 in Equatorial Guinea.

This will be for the WBO interim title. The winner will fight WBO middleweight champion Dmitry Pirog.

Interesting where the Pirog fight would be held. If this one goes well from a logistical(sp) standpoint, they will probably shoot for Equatorial Guinea again.

Don't underestimate Maksym. He's a very complete boxer, strong, good punch and applies a constant pressure, not as relentless as Khurtsidze but steady pressure. I have it a pretty even fight.

So who's that leave for Pirog now? Rafael Bejaran is the only guy in the WBO top 10 who appears available and at least a bit likely to take the fight in Russia.

Anyone hear anything more about team Pirog protesting that this fight not be for the interm WBO title when he's available for both contenders?

N'Jikam is becoming a big disappointment. First he fights for the WBA interm belt and drops it when he's forced to fight Golovkin, now he's turned down a fight with Pirog to fight for a interm belt in the WBO. Equatorial Guinea is a pretty unusual location.

As Vysotsky mentions, Bursak is a pretty decent fighter, likely a step up for Giovanni Lorenzo. Add in N'Jikam's long layoff, I might be favoring the Ukrainian for the upset.
