Interesting where the Pirog fight would be held. If this one goes well from a logistical(sp) standpoint, they will probably shoot for Equatorial Guinea again.

Anyone hear anything more about team Pirog protesting that this fight not be for the interm WBO title when he's available for both contenders?
N'Jikam is becoming a big disappointment. First he fights for the WBA interm belt and drops it when he's forced to fight Golovkin, now he's turned down a fight with Pirog to fight for a interm belt in the WBO. Equatorial Guinea is a pretty unusual location. As Vysotsky mentions, Bursak is a pretty decent fighter, likely a step up for Giovanni Lorenzo. Add in N'Jikam's long layoff, I might be favoring the Ukrainian for the upset. |
