Robbi do you think Duran was more or less powerful than his record suggests? Anyways I would go with Ike Williams for a K.O. record that makes him seem a lot less powerful than he was.

Less powerful than his record suggests. Most of the knockouts came down the stretch when fatigue took its toll on Duran's opponents due to his relentless aggression over the course of fight.

Duran does have a brilliant knockout percentage as a lightweight, but he wasn't a chilling puncher who could knock out physically fresh opponents. As I said previously, most of his stoppages were deep into fights.

Surely that shows you what a brilliant fighter he was, to be able to carry his power into the championship rounds? I suspect Ray Lampkin probably agrees Duran had chilling KO power even late into the fight.
