Audley would definitely be a step backwards for Fury.
I seriously hope it doesn't happen.

Anyway, Audley will probably lose his fight next month.

Most likely, Fury fights some Slavic guy we've never heard of. Which is better than Audley, since I don't think there's an adult male east of the Rhine who would lose to Audley, and most Polish and Russian women would beat him too.

Beat 2-3 bums per year until you get a title shot, then get destroyed.

Repeat until 2025.

Povetkin wouldn't destroy him. Meaningless title though.

Audley seems the obvious answer and of course another step towards a World Title shot sure he is a low level hype job bum but A-force would KO Lukey boy no problems then Povetkin is a dead man in 2013.

It's not going to be "next", but I think it's actually possible that a Klitschko would come to the UK for Fury. Povetkin wouldn't do it, but a Klitschko?

I think we should remember that this is a business as well as a sport and Audley makes perfect business sense. As a previous poster said Audley is still a big name in the UK whether people like it or not. Fury will beat him relatively easy and get well paid for it.

On the other hand he could take on Price or else defend the Irish title against Perez which are both much more riskier options.

Realisticly, I don't think Hennessy as any intention of putting Fury in with anyone risky any time soon. A few handy pay days and then we might see him step up and fight Price or go the European route.

In any event I reckon it'll be another 2 to 3 years before we see him fight for a world title.

Yes Perez took irish citizenship which makes him eligible i think...

Tyson Fury and David Price need to get it on with Price winning the fight in my opinion

but that won't happen he will fight Audley Harrison or even Sam ***ton if he loses to Price.

The likes of Price are well and truly on the backburner for the forseeable.
This.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the likes of a Sam Peter or Monte Barrett.

Would be funny as f*ck if Toney could be lured over, couldn't see it happening but as he's a mouth piece, the build up would be hilarious.

In the post fight interview, Hennessy pretty much said there won't be any big, competitive fights in the future. He said he was building Fury into a star i.e feeding him Audley Harrison big name-little risk type opponents for the foreseeable future.

Think Mick had Tyson told not to go calling people out so he kept his mouth shut. The Price fiasco dented Fury's reputation.

At the end of the day, Fury has accomplished quite a lot given ability, his age and relative lack of high level amateur experience. Most guys have only fought absolute cans at his age so it's no biggie if he steps off the gas a little bit. C-level boxers like Barrett for the next while would work in terms of becoming a household name and gaining experience.
