DLH ran him pretty close as well I suppose (he had a decent bit of speed I suppose).
Zab Judah gave Floyd 4 hell rounds, just if Zab was not such a waste of talent, a front runner.

Under the supervision of Pedro Diaz this is Cottos primetime.
I do really rate this guy.
And his training methods are second to none

That's what I'm hoping for. Pedro Diaz looks like he's getting Cotto in shape for a real hard, physical fight., Anyone know who the referee is? Could have a bearing on the fight!

mayweather's too hard to hit, unless he's slipped a little i cant see anything other than a wide point win, maybe even a late stoppage.

Saying that Floyd's surprised me before by fighting in a different style and still being able to dominate. And I picked Cotto to beat Pacquiao too so maybe I'm well of with this one. But I'd really like to thing Miguel has what it takes to pull of the upset in this one.

A warrior and a great person too it seems. WAR COTTO!!!

I'm a fan of Cotto and I think he nicks a few rounds, maybe 4 on his way to a points loss.

I think Cotto would have a good chance at hurting Floyd if he showed utter contempt for Floyd's power and steamed in to him from the first bell relentlessly targeting the body.

There is little chance this will happen though and I think Cotto will be patient and work off the jab, stalking Mayweather and falling into enough traps to lose 8 rounds.

If Mayweather has declined or slowed any then it may look similar to Oscar/Floyd, with Cotto getting more success than expected with his jab, but Floyd still takes a decision victory home.

If Cotto's gonna win 4 rounds it'll need to be the first 4 with how he fades and Floyd's amazing stamina.

Not a god damn chance in hell he beats Mayweather. Doesn't have the footwork, or anything offensively thats a real threat. He's got a good left-hook downstairs but bodywork doesn't overly effect Mayweather due to his defensive technique. You need a very good, long, fast jab to have him off kilter and while Miguel's is serviceable its not good enough.

All you're gonna have is Cotto plodding in, getting nailed with lead rights, hit clean through the middle of his guard where theres a weakness, until he starts to tire and get ragged and loses all poise and gets picked off with increasing regularity. He might start off competitive as Ortiz did but you could see Floyd working him out and the same happens here.

Canelo also matches up badly with Floyd, before people start saying he's the 'big test' after this weekend, he's ****in' not.

Yeah I agree on Alvarez, I think he'd be cannon fodder for Floyd. For Miguel too I reckon. But there's always been something about Cotto that I think could cause Mayweather serious problems. I think he'd have to box rather than brawl to do so but I've got hope for him.

The reflexes of Floyd have always been what's kept him so defensively inpenetrable but the shield he makes for himself to the body when on the inside is also a crucial aspect IMO. That's where I think Cotto might have more success than others in that his body shots are as effective from mid range as they are up close- if he's going to win, he's going to have to make them count.

Mayweather could stop him but he usually peaks around the middle rounds and then slows down and coasts to victory and I can see the same happening here. Can see Cotto's big bulbous head getting routinely tagged though and he's not great all under pressure or adversity.

If Mayweather wants to he can stop the fight anytime he wants though. Mayweather will be able to fight in the pocket with this guy and handcuff him up close. Again it all comes down to Mayweather letting Miguel see the final bell. I think he will but then again Cotto's ability to unravel is quite something so Mayweather might not even have to do much to close the show with a TKO.
