Corley was superb tonight. He seemed to have more punch resistance from what I remember too. The way he timed those right hands is still a thing of beauty.
You know what I'd like to see whats changed in Corley's camp and life, he was on a real losing streak and lost to much worse opposition than McCloskey. I think he's started to find that belief in himself back. This is a warning for fighters to be ready to face a southpaw on short notice. Because McCloskey just didn't know how to deal with that right hand that broke his nose and repeatedly knocked his head back violently. The boxing tonight has been top-notch, and we haven't even seen the Vegas card. Corley VS McCloskey was a nice battle, lots of good punches landed and not very much holding. Huck VS Olafabi - FOTY contender. The last round was immense. Pulev VS Dimitrenko - Nice heavyweight battle. If any of the bouts later can do the same we're in for a great fucking night. |

Lots of people were saying he was shot and McCloskey would outbox him, I had a hunch that he would win by TKO (wish i had money on this!). Corley is in decline, but that means McCloskey is just european level fighter, he is never going to win a world title with those boxing skills.

Paul can't punch so I'm not sure whether it displayed punch resistance or not.
He did look in tremendous condition though, and fought at a controlled pace. Picked some classy shots. |

corley is mandotary by the WBA now and judah is the mando for the IBF, khan vs peterson winner has to fight either judah or corley or another title holder. wouldn't mind seeing corley vs judah 2 as the first fight was close.

It was great when the Hatton haters used to shit on his record and the likes of Urango and Collazo went on to have good performances afterwards
So after every one of their fights there'd be a reappraisal of Hatton's standing/legacy |
