When the flip is Nathan 'Paper Champ' Cleverly going to fight a real world champion, his defences are disgraceful
Admit it a majority of our fighters are just protected |

I know; I like McCloskey, he's usually good to watch and seems like a good guy, but I don't think he is world class by any stretch.
And losing to Chop Chop is no great shame, based on his last couple of performances I think he'd trouble a few 'challengers'....... |

If you don't like British boxing, here's an idea, don't watch it.
prospects get beat, it happens, guys end up not fulfilling their potential or not being as good as some people thought. it happens in all sports. Plus promoters and broadcasters are always going to hype people, it is afterall their job. |

Yup. Utter disgrace. Cleverly is a joke world champion, and Dudey was never any good at all!
Fortunately, most British boxing fans realise this. So there isn't a need to keep repeating the 'British boxing is shit' rhetoric. It is probably better to watch guys who always fight Te best, like Mayweather, or guys who are exciting to watch, like Wlad. Must dash, I'm gonna rewatch that shit domestic clash between two hype jobs called Crolla and Matthews. |

So what he got beat...
It was a well made match and certainly better then half the shite we've been force fed over the last few years. |

Bit of a shocking stoppage tbh, but then it was Ian John Lewis, weird the way he didn't even try to give a standing count before waving it off. I had McCloskey ahead by 1 or 2 rounds at that point.

If it were to me, I would introduce boxing into schools as part of P.E. lessons ( if its still called that, I left school 9 and half years ago, lol) and then select those who had ability, and who could adjust and showed variety to go pro - not some sluggers who don't move thereir heads or back off in straight lines, or don't pivot or even throw faints - just my 2 cents!

I'm training a few kids they will be awesome if they keep working hard, ones 9-2 and ones 5-3 but has been robbed a couple of times. Also got one lad unboxed and another whose 0-3 who I've just started helping. I'm trying my best to coach them about the finer points. You should see them spar - unreal for 12 year olds

McCloskey was never really hyped here to be fair, your wide of the mark if you think he is/was. |
