Just like he used the Winky blueprint to defeat Mosley, I think their camp might focus on studying the Clottey and Mosley fights since they were a little more his speed. Pacing, workrate, clinching, potshotting, etc

It was discussed before that Cotto has trouble when the fight takes place at a pace he's not accustomed to or comfortable with, as with the Pac and Marg fights so possibly I wouldn't count out Floyd upping the workrate like he did with Ortiz

Blueprints? Wtf? Floyd don't need a blueprint. He just has to be himself. Cotto is the one who needs a damn good gameplan to make it a good fight, let alone beat Maywather, which I can't see him doing outside of that never-happens-but-always-mentioned homerun punch.

You're right. When Corely caught him with that big right hand, he did begin engaging - successfully, and came back to win the round. When Mosley caught him, once again, he came back, and by the end of the round, he was the one backing Mosley up.

Floyd will fight like Floyd. Go backwards or come forward, potshot, and look for counter opportunities.


If anything he could take something from the Clottey fight which exposed some of the gaps in Cotto's defense.

that being said, i believe studying the margarito fighter would be better due to a new style. They need to anticipate both styles, cotto might pressure and box.
