Pleased Matthews-Rees is happening again. It's a matchup I really liked first time around and one that should be as intriguing this time as well.
You can never pick a Derry win with confidence, and Rees is definitely a step up from Crolla but they really are two quality fighters, up there with Britain's best in terms of skill levels so it should be a great match and my highlight of the card to be honest. I liked Derry first time round and I'm going to sticky by that choice here. |

Oh right sorry for being so blatantly wrong. I didn't realise that Mathews was facing that well known destroyer Gavin Rees. If only there had been a fight between the two earlier where we could have seen the huge gulf in class...
If anyone deserves a , it's you for suggesting that this isn't a competitive match up. And that's not me intending to be disrespectful to Rees, just trying to correct you and your lack of respect/knowledge of Mathews. Retard.

Derry was boxing well against Gavin cos of the reach Gav was being made to think on how to get inside and Derry digs. It was a evenly matched fight, It will be another close fight especially early on. Gavin will rightly be favorite but i can't dismiss Derry he's a warrior and can box.

It was a inspired display from Kerry, He'll need to use the jab once again and really put it on Proska who i think is a flat track bully of a fighter and when it's coming on top becomes dirty. Hope will need to mix it up behind straight punches and a high held guard. Force a good pace and expose the flaws in Proska's style again. Winnable fight, Proska will be better this time so Hope's got it all to do but he can beat him but i'd slightly favor Proska just got a feeling Kerry will struggle to match that display again. Saying that though he's now a champion! He'll train even harder i'd like to think. |
