It's cool. I certainly wouldn't scoff at someone ranking Donaire higher than Martinez, either. But something tells me when Martinez' next fight is signed it will be of considerably higher caliber than Mijares. We'll see.

Ward's domination over the best competition of the 3 does it for me. Kessler and Abraham didn't even come close, and I think the Froch decision was wider than scores indicate. He doesn't have the overall # of big wins that Donaire and Martinez have, but his "what have you done lately" factor is through the roof.

Donaire and Martinez are more comparable because they stepped into the mainstream around the same time in 2007 Donaire stepping right into the deep end against Darchinyan, and Martinez giving notice of his upcoming greatness with his win over Saul Roman.

Since then I just think Donaire has had the more consistent competition, and been more convincing. Also, his "what have you done lately" has been superior.

I will say its a close grouping though, and I wouldn't dismiss any disagreement among the 3 as silly.

These 3 IMO are the number #1, 2, and 3 top p4p fighters, not Floyd or Pacman with all due respect. Ward paid his dues as emerging the winner of 168.
Donaire obliterated Montiel who was supposed to be his toughest rival, tho struggled with Vasquez Jr, finds a way to win.
Sergio fights the awkward, most avoided fighter in Williams and did what nobody else could and that was to knock him out. Fought prime, hungry fighters like Dzin, Barker, and Macklin who all really are champion level opponents themselves, but it is to their bad luck they are fighting in the same era as Maravilla. Sergio tho, has won his fights in dramatic, fight ending style vs the Euro champ Barker, the former champ and highly praised jab of Dzin, and a determined Macklin who most felt he beat Sturm.

Nonito beats Rigo or Ward gets by Bute, I'd rank them above Sergio. Sergio beats GGG, I'd put him back at the top.

Ward and Donaire are both a and b, I wouldn't mind at all if someone put Ward over him. Only reason I put Donaire over him is cuz I ride Nonito's nuts, no gay. Martinez is good, yet overrated. He needs more than just PWill and Pavlik.

This one is easy. Martinez, Ward and Donaire in this order. Martinez and Ward are very close, but Martinez is more dominating and has more power and defense. Donaire shouldn't be in the mix, he has proven anything other than beating up small guys. He's a wannabe Manny Pacquiao that doesn't come close to either of these guys. And sparring with Manny years ago doesn't count for anything. Eventually, Donaire will be exposed and knocked out. He's nothing special.
