Civ 2 is where it's at gents.

On the Villa job, it's a three year project to turn them around, weed a lot of the highly paid shit out and start afresh.

McLeish was a disastrous appointment, the worst thing is that everyone saw it a mile off. With the squad that Villa have, trying to play ''Allardyceball'' was always going to fail and alienate the fans too.

On internationals, a lot of Leeds fans have gone nuts that McCormack can't get a game for the Sweaties, he's scored more goals in the Championship last term than Kenny Miller and Craig Mackail-Smith combined, yet they both get picked and Ross doesn't.

Can't say it bothers me too much, at least he'll be fit for us next term.

With England, I'd support them more strongly if they ditched the overpaid ones and picked players with desire, rather than tried and failed turds like Downing, Green etc or just shit players like Carroll.

Why isn't Holt in the squad? More goals and a better all round game than Carroll. Why isn't Richards there? Etc.

Few glaring ommissions from the England squad IMO, Richards definatly needs to be in, with no Smalling! Could have left Baines out, as Lescott could always play left back if Cole got injured.

Henderson on standby also :

Not seen much of Sturridge lately but thought he'd be there. I also rate Carrick so would have him there

Smalling is injured, I'm alot more confident in Jones at DM.

On paper now its a weak squad really, wondering where the goals will come from, but I guess people were saying that in 96 then Shearer caught fire for England

If it makes you feel any better I finished today and am going on a massive bender from now until September with one of the first stops being next Saturday for the Test match and the Froch/Bute fight in the evening.
