Wasn't it the second fight where he was kneed to fuck and basically got knocked out of the ring? Or was it the other time when he was taking a pasting up against the ropes while smiling at Wand until the ref stopped it and he collapsed in a heap?
Personally im still surprised Rampage is alive after a beating like that much less even gone on to have a decent career in the UFC. ATG chin. Fighters aren't made like that any more. PRIDE was churning em out on a conveyor belt.

You got it right on both accounts.

His chin is made of concrete.

well actually, if you must know, i had given mma a chance but a lot of the time i got fed up with guys just going to ground and not doing anything, but sonnen was hitting silva in every way he could, even slapping his ears at one point, doing anything to hurt silva. was something i wished all mma fighers would do. he showed hear and determination in that fight. Plus he is a funny bastard

Cool story. But you're still a Hatton fan.

Rampage v Wand 1 is the better losing performance of the two

In the second he straight got his ass kicked, and invented the planking craze in the process

Shogun/Hendo was the first fight that came to mind.

Sonnen was that underdog
Not football so irrelevant. In football you can't be 20-0 down and have an amazing perfect goal and win. Bullshit comparison even tennis would be better.

No. The guy who actually managed to finish the fight won. One person laid on top of the other for 24mins and couldn't hurt his opponent. Unless there is a bullshit decision from the ref if one guy finishes it he is the better fighter on the night.
