It was a massacre..Roman was demolished. It didn't pay to be a punk with George..like trying to mess with a lion at feeding time.

'Honest Bill' Daly, the Manager for Jose 'King' Roman had a 'fight plan' -
Jose was to utilize his quick footwork, to avoid George Foreman's bull-rushes and roundhouse swings - Then when George would tire, {presumably by Round 8} Jose was to use his fast-hands to score with left-jabs and counter right-hands to the body. By Round 12, George Foreman would be completely exhausted, and Jose was then to bring his punches 'upstairs' with flurries, and back-off. If George Foreman was still standing by Round 14, Jose was then to go for the Knock-out with right-hands 'down Broadway'. 'What A Fight Plan' |

Typical of a lot of Big Georges opponents at the time but then again a lot of built up careers at the time. Roman was actually better than most of Georges opponents in his padded record but Holmes and others also had the soft build-up, Bobick was another but George and Holmes at least rose to the occasion for the most part when they stepped up despite some careful navigation
