refs/judges are something. you gotta assume 9/10 times it is going to be fair and the right guy will win (unlike Willams/Lara, Lewis/Holyfield, Kirkland/Molina, Alexander/Mathyese etc etc) |

Ward is the best fighter alive after Mayweather. Froch is one of my all time favourite fighters but I don't believe he can beat Ward, although he would give Ward the best run for his money if it was in Nottingham and he performed like the force of nature he was on Saturday

I think Ward would probably win but if he wants to be considered one of the greats he simply MUST travel away and beat the likes of Froch and Kessler.
A return could be very interesting as there's no way Froch will stand off Ward like he did last time. He'll go straight for the KO. |

Your entire argument is based on Ward having every possible advantage going for him. You're assuming that he would perform just as well away from home in front of a hostile crowd as well as in Oakland. I'm not saying he's a bottle job, he won his Olympic gold in Greece, but he hasn't had to go to the lengths that the likes of Kessler and Froch have undeservedly had to go to to fight him. No-one doubts his skills, but I'd like to see how he copes with fighting abroad in a hostile environment. All of his opponents had to go through that, he should have to at some point.

I gave Froch a single round the first time, and with Ward being the more adaptable of the two I'm not sure he'd even be able to get that in a rematch.
![]() Really a pointless exercise; hopefully Ward goes up to LHW. Better for his own legacy (if he succeeds) and much better for the SMW division since he doesn't have any challenges left and it frees up the more exciting and marketable Froch to be #1. |

He's fighting Dawson next, a far higher calibre fighter than Froch. Going to be a great fight. Froch isn't good enough for Ward, Ward beat him in every category when they fought. Ward hurt Froch and Ward was never hurt so I don't understand why you would claim that Ward is chinny...

Also Ward is probably the mentally toughest fighter I've ever seen, I honestly don't think travel would affect him in the slightest. |
