btw, exceeding expectations is a good feat. but a retard who learns why 2+2=4 is exceeding expectations.

Simply put, Floyd was grew up in boxing. Dad and 2 uncles were talented pros. Floyd was an olympian, and was groomed to be a champion (or multiple) as soon as he turned pro. So him winning a lot of title is more or less warranted by his abilities. Though winning it 6 times was exceeding expectations as well.

On the other hand, Pac was a wild swinging slugger who has only his power and fighting heart as a foundation. Plus he was already stopped. He was an underdog on his first title shot for starters, simply because Sasakul was better skilled. And it showed, it was only his power that saved the day. Then he got stopped again and few people thought he'll be a champion again. But he did. And then the achievements piled up, the win over Ledwaba, Barrera and beyond.

So in terms of expectations, it was Pacquiao.
fair points.

i wouldn't say less talented and that far. pac is a talented fighter. fast, high workrate, good power, underated defense and technical skill. also his ring generalship is severely underrated basing of the 3 close fights aginst marquez who is a stylistic nightmare to pac.

this is not the thread topic but i can comment on this. pacquiao having close fights (having won 2 and drawn one) against his stylistic nightmare in jmm is not a minus to pac's ring generalship. pac can actually make this a harder and a stinker if he would stop being the aggressor in the first place and just wait for jmm to initialize in every opportunity and be a counter-puncher solely. knowing that jmm would not take that much of a chance, this would be a very boring fight. pac brought the figth to jmm, and expectedly struggled against a superb counterpuncher.

so your turn now and kindly give your answer for this thread.

What the hell is proven us wrong more bullshit?

Pac just lost to old man marquez, only thing he proved is that he ain't improved since their 1st fight

Is Roach making Pac believe he can win because he wants another Trainer Mega Pay Day? I can't see how an expert, professional, and experienced trainer could actually believe this. I'm lead to believe he is selling Manny out for a Mega Pay day.

So you're admitting Juan was the ring general in those fights, but you just said you're basing your opinion of Pacquiao's ring generalship on those fights.

And I would give my opinion on this thread if it was worth the trouble, which it isn't. Just as shit as the rest of your threads.

Ricky Hatton

ATTENTION! This thread made 2-15-2008, 2 months after Floyd KO'd Hatton. Yet, NO pre-excuses were made that Hatton was shot and his chin softened. 95% still picked Hatton by brutal KO!

In the end Cotto would show Pac what it really means to fight at welter weight and fully use his size and strength advantages to prevail.

PC: Was coming down to 145 tougher than you thought it would be since you hadn’t weighed 145 or less since 2006?

MC: I felt really good at that weight. It wasn’t a problem for me.

I expected great thing from FM, so I'm not surprised of what he's accomplished. For MP to move up and fight guys way bigger than him and beat them the way he did is a surprise for me.

This coming from the guy who refuses to accept the fact that marquez tapped his hero ass.
