Default Muhammad Ali body toughness

Ali took some incredible body shots from some of the hardest punchers that ever lived and didn't even flinch, how is this possible? Have you ever seen anything like this past or present?

One well placed shot to the liver and he would have been quivering in pain on the canvas. He did well in taking body shots but there are a couple of "sweet spots" located on the body that I'm sure he protected himself against.

Ken Norton said punching Ali in the body was like punching a bag of cement.

remember hearing about someone else saying this aswell

dundee said he used to love getting in condition and seemed to do alot of abs and core exercises

add that to seeing him sparring where he would often let sparring partners hammer his body with shots

but its still amazing to think regardless of how good his defence was took a barrage of body shots from liston when he couldnt see, foreman and invited him in for more and fotc where he often taunted frazier afrer some real heavy body shots aswell as the pounding his body sustained in manilla

remember someone also saying he could take a hell of alot of pain without showing it

norton did hurt him once to the body though with an absolutely huge body shot
