I am talking about the split between power and speed. I'd never be so silly as to talk percentiles and such of power - it's an anigma as you say.

JT. When I seen "combo" I thought it was combination punches with speed and power. But yeah I see what it means now, a combination of both speed and power. You got my drift, and I got the the thread's drift after a little help from yourself.

I'm primarily concerned regarding speed and how it may relate to punching power in a boxing sense - regarding a mathemathical construct.

What is your definition/equation of a boxer's power? You see, If I can get a glimpse of your thought process regarding power, it just might make a difference in other areas.

I leave the EC=MV squared equations regarding power to others mate. I don't think anybody will ever explain it sufficiently or completely.

I mean per obvious examples per comparative purposes are a slow heavy handed Foreman and a fast punching bomber like Tyson, so utterly different in delivery yet both are bonifide fight ending specialists.

Then we have skinny rangy (some might say almost frail builds at times) guys like Hearns, Foster and Breland who have great speed of delivery and massive power many say is gained thru that speed combined with decent leverage.

BUT - then we have an Arguello, tall, rangy and skinny like Hearns and co. but also having very average handspeed. I mean what is going on there? We can't loook at fast twitch in this case IMO. Punchers, like their math, is very hard to define. Now scuse me while i get my third beer
