It has been confirmed that the IBF has given formal sanction approval for the welterweight voluntary eliminator for the #2 position, between #3 ranked Carson Jones and #5 ranked Kell Brook. The bout is scheduled for July 7, 2012 at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England. This bout is being approved under the condition that the winner must fight #4 ranked Hector Saldivia in a final eliminator to set the mandatory challenger within 90 days or by October 7, 2012.

The IBF has also ruled that neither fighter can take another fight until the elimination process is concluded. If either fighter takes a fight, he will be removed from the eliminator and dropped out of the top 10.

Baileys win vs Mike Jones has to be one of the luckiest and poorest performances I've ever seen to win a world title. He lost almost every round and landed about 4 clean punches. He has power, and nothing else.

Really? Bailey gets to make a volantary defense, he earned $100,000 against Jones and is promoted by DiBella who is chummy with Hearn.

All Eddie will have to do is offer £150-£200k to get him over here.
