Yet gaining a little "boost" has to be the least manly thing someone could possibly do. Why compromise any credit you could possibly take for your accomplishments? Why not keep it pure and reap only what you sow with your own hard work? How can anyone find any competitive satisfaction in anything else? Is just winning that important? Does winning even mean anything, if it comes with asterisks? How retarded are these people?

If I was fighting a guy I believed was going to be taking substances to make him stronger and more durable than me I would feel I have two choices - risk taking a beating just to stand by my principles or even up the playing field and take the same shit he's using.

That's why it's always justified as 'it's not cheating if every one is doing it'.

Basically, there are two realities in boxing. There's the one through the fan's eyes which says that drugs are banned and are only used by cheating disgraces, and there's the fighter' reality where the real rules are that drugs are just part of the game and people take anything they want to get in tip top shape.

Somehow these two 'realities' exist side by side.

More positive tests and admissions is good for the sport. Just like with baseball, it sucks for a while, but then the fans appreciate it. Attendance is actually up in baseball despite scoring decreasing.

I don't disagree - but in the world of multimillion dollar purses, fighters being written off after one loss and the potential for your career to be over with one freak accident in or out of the ring, it seems as though priorities have got fucked up somewhere.

The second part is not true at all, steroids may even make your dick bigger.

It does make your balls shrink, though, because they see the body is intaking hormones by itself, so it stops producing those hormones, making them smaller.
