I personally don't like this move. Its not a move for him imo. Hes a very well conditioned fighter and CW is his divison. So yea, maybe hes a lil to old for the young guns like Hernandez and Lebedev now days but he is still a top contender and world title holder worthy. Moves makes no sense money wise either, Steve def ain't broke, he's made some good money boxing, plus he owns a Pizza shop in Philly...

I think he figures that if Mormeck gets a heavyweight title shot, and Tarver is in consideration for a title shot (all while ducking Cunningham), then maybe he could get a title shot of his own. Certainly he's much faster and closer to his prime than the other 2. Rather than a risky battle against a Lebedev or Huck or some young gun crusierweight like Chakkiev (cause face it who else would agree to fight Cunningham?) One big K2 pay-day to close out the career and invest for retirement.
