as we all know big larry has been caught doping wildy (bout fucking time).
after reading a load of his interviews he sounds more and more like a man ready to take everyone down with him.. anyone else get this impression?? what would it do for our sport if he was to start a huge scandel?? i personally think it would be the final nail in the coffin.. thoughts?? |

Well we've been getting a lot of Americans caught for doping, maybe Larry knows the identity of a few Brits who are doping?

I think having been caught Larry has a duty of care to his fellow professional boxers to report people who he knows/suspects are taking illegal substances. There is no honour in keeping this information to himself if it will result in another boxer being harmed because their opponent is a drug cheat. I don't think he should tell the press as that may lead to sensationalism and witch hunts, but he should meet with the BBBofC who could then carry out a thorough investigation. False accusations would be damaging to a boxer's career and reputation, but cheats should be dealt with.

agreed my man..between the home town decisions and robberys in the sport the last thing we need is a full blown drugs fiasco..but like you say if it survives the early onslaught then maybe itl turn it around..

The difference is boxing is not a team sport. So while, boxers might know of each other they rarely have intimate details like one would get in a locker room setting.
