Here in US, we have different perspectives about who is considered "white". Sergio Martinez is indeed "white" but many here in the US will not label him that because he speaks Spanish.

There is no "pure race" because there is no such thing as race as a biological category. this is the scientific consensus in both the genetics and physical anthropology communities. Race and ethnicity are social constructions. However, race - white, black, Asian - and ethnicity - Hispanic, for instance - are not the same kinds of social constructions. At their intersection we find both white Hispanics and nonwhite Hispanics. Martinez is a white Hispanic. He is clearly of European ancestry, and all indigenous Europeans are considered white. Spaniards are white. Etc.

But having said all this, this is really an absurd argument that borders on racist. Blacks are no more or less athletic than whites. There is nothing special about blacks that makes them more athletic than whites or vice versa.
