I think Adamek is just looking for one more big payday before he retires against Wlad. He knows, and has said he doesn't see himself fighting past 2013 into 2014, so he knows these are his last chances to make some money for his retirement from boxing. After how hopelessly he fought against Vitali, he must know himself he doesn't have many chances to actually win that fight. I think we have already seen the best of Adamek. I really was disappointed in the Chambers fight, he seemed somewhat slow, lethargic, a pretty passive.... but at the same time I realize he was fighting a pretty slick and uncomfortable fighter. He just seemed too big as well.. he needs to be down at like 210 - 213 max imo. He seemed pretty solid and dynamic there, he just seems to big and bulky now.

Not a pointless fight. He's fighting a very experienced, big fighter, one who can still knock you out and this fight continues to keep him active. You can't take for granted that Szpilka only has 11 fights. Who was Wlad fighting when he had 11 fights on his record?

It took Wladimir only 10 months to fight 12 guys. After 3 years he fought Axel Schulz and became European champion.

It took Artur almost 4 years to fight 12 guys.

So, it is cristally clear who has the better resume. Yet, my previous post wasn't meant to critisize Artur. I was disappointed of McCline coming to the fight so heavy and out of shape. And the fight proved my point. McCline was like fish on sand after 3 rounds. I agree that Artur is still young and has time to develop. I just wanted a better MCCline in order to test Artur.

Jameel came into the fight in his usual shape/weight...heavy but not completly fat.
