Having to dehydrate 25 pounds of water weight the day before the fight does not help guys like Brock. Someone just a little bit bigger might not be able to make weight. Silva might not want to add muscle or he might, but he can't even if he wanted to. Silva is not exactly a huge man, he is 6'4. |

So coming in as heavy as they want instead of training hard to be able to make the weight cut will help them fight better...
Have you considered a career in Coaching? On that note, how does it hurt Brock? And how would muscle help Big Foot? |

You say it keeps the heavyweights in shape, but many heavyweights could carry a lot of fat and be able to make 265. |

''They'' meaning more than one
And are you really using Roy as an example of how extra weight can help a fighter, because he's the poster boy for what Ive been saying all along... |

You seem to think that these big guys will faten up for more of a size advantage.I don't really think that works because unlike sumo wrestling they have to fight 25 min. |

I have made points. I have exsplained that some guys are physically to big to make 265 and that some fighters are already draining themselfs to fight in the heaviest weight division. And having a weight limit where fighters can weigh close to 300 pounds is not going to keep some of these smaller heavyweights from getting fat if they want. The weight limit is pointless. And I think having some sumo type fighters would be cool anyway. I will be offline for a while, thanks for the debate. |

I'd like to see a 206-225
Then something like 226+ with no weight limit. There are a lot of guys who can make 225, but that are just too small for the guys who are more naturally at around 240 or more. Just my Observation. |

Guys like Couture and Noguerra , even Fedor in MMA terms are / were actually Cruiser weights , I'm sure Jon Jones will be leaving 205 in the next 2 years , and for what , to be faced with guys currenty a whole 65 lbs heavier than him (currently) |
