Bjj comes from Judo the Gracies learned their Bjj in Japan and just took the submisions to turn that into a sport. Lombard also transitions from striking to throwing to ground and pound to submison as good as any fighter I have ever seen outside of Fedor. |

Lombard will have to close the distance and hold him and take him down. His striking may be good enough to survive until he can take Silva to the ground.

Anderson is vulnerable to leg takedowns not upper body throws. As you would expect from a Muay Thai fighter he's strong in the clinch and can usually shrug off throws. Look at how he stopped Okami taking him down. Hector's judo means nothing against Silva, especially with the size difference

Lombard is a professional can crusher. I remember watching that dude struggle with Gono. And then got owned by Mousasi never to be seen again in PRIDE. No respect to both those guys but they're mid level at best in and around their weight. If Lombard can't beat them no amount of muscles and steroids is going to help the blown up welter. He doesn't stand a CHANCE vs Silva. Boetsch is going to rag doll him and send him back to the bush leagues.

Come on let's not get silly... he is still a very good fighter but maybe he had too much pressure on him because of that massive win streak.
Maybe now it's gone he'll focus on fighting and not losing. Lynchburg |

I thought it was an off performance, I hope so anyway. He didn't seem himself, he let himself down big time so I hope his next fight is a lot better. I think he's much better than he showed last night.
