Ricky Hatton v Amir Khan

What's your views if these fought both at their peak,Hatton v Tszyu was 26 and Khan is now 25 (Don't know whether we have seen Khan peak yet tho), Hatton all day for me, late stoppage.

Also Ricky Hatton dosent get the credit he deserves, only two losses came from a all time great in mayweather and one of the best pound for pound in Manny. Also people forget he fought Tszyu and people didn't give him a chance and Tszyu was number 1 pound for pound.

Hatton in his peak would have destroyed Khan in a few rounds. I don't like to think of Hatton /Manny fight, it just wasn't the true Ricky imo. I hate to see fighters try to be something they are not, and Khan is not a toe to toe hero in the same respect Ricky wasn't a hit and dodge type of fighter. Khan can't fight under pressure, pick Hatton off and he keeps coming.

As much as i loved Hatton could imagine him to have struggled with Khan's hand speed. Hurts me to say but Khan UD

hatton would clean him in the first 2 rounds - khan cant handle bodyshots and certainly cant handle it on the chin! prime hatton was a monster!!

Peak Hatton destroys Khan IMO but as the other poster said, perhaps we haven't seen peak Khan yet.

No he just took the easy fights with Pacquiao, Mayweather and Tszyu instead

Hatton is a bad style match-up for Khan.

Agreed slip. What with Khan's lack of power, poor footwork, inability to fight on the inside or even spoil/clinch (like the Klitschkos do), tendency to get drawn into tear ups, and dodgy punch resistance Hatton, for lack of a better term would jizz himself at the prospect of facing Khan.

Hatton would cut the ring off very well, and would have no problems getting to Khan. Lamont Petersen was like a poor mans version of Hatton IMO. Nothing Khan threw would keep Hatton off and he'd stop him before the halfway point.

Spot on, Ero. Hatton is kind of underrated somewhat these days. His foot speed was very good and he carried you faster than you wanted to be carried. Khan's at his best when someone stands off him and tries to box when he's at long range as he's hard to outbox. You either stay calm under the gun and punch with him at the end of extended exchanges, or even better get in his grill and force mistakes like Hatton would do.
