Watching Pernell Whitaker just gave me a visual orgasm. Probabily the best i've layed eyes on.

The best stance and the most conventional fluidity was found in Finito Lopez.

Sugar Ray Leonard or Cassius Clay for me. I like the flashy style.

stiff fighter imo, very elegant in his way, but still stiff.Same as Pone Kingpetch.

Napoles, Dejesus, Conteh etc are where it's at for fluidity in boxer-punchers.

Peak Julio Cesar Chavez -- nearly perfect balance.

Joe Louis was magnificent.

I much enjoyed Duran, especially aroumd the Davey Moore-Hagler period. He has slowed down enough that he has to get by on guile, and it's a thing of beauty to see.

Tony Canzoneri was a showman. Sometimes more than he should be. Ghosted some of the best, usually effortlessly. I think he could have been even more dominant if he was a little more disciplined and cautious. But then again, if he was, his fights probably wouldn't be as spectacular.

Mike Gibbons looks strange at first sight, but after a while you realize he's barely even touched in the O'Dowd footage. In his spar with Tommy you can see how dazzling he could be with his footwork. One of my favorites right now.

Charley Burley was like an illusionist. He seems to be made of smoke. Always serene, always precise, always tricky. I never get tired of watching him fight.

The short version of Leonard-Tendler I almost ruined Benny Leonard for me. Only after watching the first seconds of Leonard-Mclarnin by accident and then digging for the long version of Leonard-Tendler I understood why some guys are obsessed with Benny Leonard. The quickness, the precision, the sense of timing, the shiftiness, the lightning fast reflexes. The guy was a genius. If he didn't reach perfection he got pretty damn close.

Pep was the best by far but I remember some nice dancing moves from Ken Buchanan vs Ismael Laguna in the garden...I was also impressed with Benitez at times but he was not the best trained or consistent...Joey Archer had some great moments and Ali but Pep stands out

I've already mentioned a lot of guys that others have been saying, but Orlando Canizales is another guy that strikes me as very elegant boxing style. Smooth movements, great foowork, and throws beautiful combinations.

Other mentions:
Alberto Davila
Israel Vazquez
Sumbu Kalambay
Hector Camacho (pre Rosario)
Mark Johnson
Winky Wright
