Off-hand, the most noteworthy knockout win of Armstrong's I can't think of is over Petey Sarron for the featherweight title. This tough Syrian-American veteran had never been knocked out. But Duran wiped out plenty of victims in a single round. One punch was frequently all he needed.

Duran definitely had greater one-punch power. Armstrong stopped guys like Juan Diaz has been doing recently, by punching non-stop and beating the fighting spirit out of his opponents. He was also a hard puncher though, only 5 of his 20 WW title victories went the distance and he was always a smallish welterweight.
