Saint George Groves would KO Andre Ward
I've been watching this boxer's career with interest. He has a great style, can box and move, can mix it up, has an inside game, and has concussive power.
His team need to get him into the World title mix soon. A fight with the Stieglitz v Abraham winner, then a unification with Andre Ward should he get past a completely drained Chad Dawson. If this fight comes off in the next year I can only see one winner. Groves holds all the physical advantages and he has a much bigger punch. He has also already outboxed a slick Olympic champion in DeGale. Ward is feather fisted and couldn't crack an egg. I see Groves wearing Ward down with thunderous body shots before delivering a crisp 4 punch combination on Ward's considerable dome, rendering him unconcious on the canvas.

I tend to agree, Wards been carefully matched though, Groves has the power to shatter that glass, but would Ward risk it? No doubt it would be in Jokeland, and steroids would be used, but I still don't see him taking the risk, they wish to preserve his image, Groves would decimate that image.

None of that would matter because Groves has already proved his mettle, having fought in the US twice. Ward already tasted the canvas against a journeyman called Boone. He was on Queer Street and was saved by the bell. Imagine the damage Groves would inflict. 12:30 [ame]***********.youtube.com/watch?v=vNeJ6RXkgoM[/ame] |

i cant believe this is even a discussion there is no way in hell groves would beat ward , groves hasnt been tested at a high enough level he beat james degale but hes done nothing apart from winning gold which we saw how well that worked out for audley harrison!
Ward is a unbeaten world champion and out classed carl froch, this fight i doubt will happen as groves will get found out way before he gets in the title frame but if it did happen , ward to make groves suffer for the full 12 |

![]() ![]() ![]() Groves already had a title shot lined up but had to withdraw due to injury. He would thrash Stieglitz in 6 rounds, would handily outbox Abraham. Once he has a belt this fight will get made.
