I've been into direct conflict with Joe about some of the plain nonsense he puts out there, particularly the bogus science he claims to understand and the pseudoskeptic he is, at times, and I haven't gotten pinked once.
I even remember a time when I didn't lose my cool but he clearly had when I was pointing out the giant holes in AlphaBrain and everything about it and he came down pretty hard with some really terrible arguments and half-insults and there was even a post in the Tard Bin (where you go if you're pinked) that depicted Joe being a bit of an off-the-chain hot head in that discussion and throwing ad hominem out while I did nothing of the sort. I have a feeling he'd pink or ban be for a much lesser infraction than would ordinarilly be worthy based on my words against the complete bullshit that is AlphaBrain, and Mr. Marcus and how what they're doing is not only utterly unethical but dangerous. I did get something of a compliment on one of his podcasts, which was... nice? All-in-all, I think he's a good guy, doesn't have any particular illicit intentions but refuses to acknowledge the biases that he has and that we all have. |

![]() I'm not too familiar with Rogan, but one thing I'm pretty certain of is for a guy that's watched as many fights ringside as he has his commentary isn't very good. |

Ah, the devil is in the details. You think his commentary isn't very good because he is always overstating someone's Muay Thai skills, but you have more knowledge than he does in this area. What Rogan is very good at is his grappling commentary. You also have to look at his comments in proper context. All of these guys are shit, at striking, compared to what you are used to watching. But Anderson Silva looks like Mr. Muay Thai if you compare him to Ryan Bader.

He's advertising this nonsense product on the basis that it improves cognitive function (something on which I asked Mr. Marcus to not be so obtuse on, but he did not delineate). This is either a true or false statement and given the evidence (or lack of in this case) I can rather easily say that the claims made by Mr. Marcus (the "inventor" of the pill) are misleading and ultimately false. I am not alone in my concerns or objections, I just happened to be one of the more vocal in the airing of what to anyone with any relevant scientific training should recognize as pure bullshit. He didn't like that. |

Was thinking of buying some but I'm always weary that it might just be a placebo. |
