Default Re: Errol Spence back in tournament?

Spence v Evans happened at the WBC Convention in Cardiff last year, I was ringside for it as there were plenty of empty seats in the arena to sit where you liked. I was looking forward to watching the local boy Evans who I had heard so much about.

Spence beat the shit out of Evans, gave him 2 standing counts with body shots and dominated the entire fight, if it had been a pro bout Evans would have been out of there in the first or second round.

Kept an eye out for Spence ever since, he is an outstanding fighter and as soon as the olympic draw was made looked around as many betting sites as I could to put a bet on for gold...... Managed to get odds on him at 40/1 with skybet so stuck a tenna down.

The only way Spence will lose is by dodgy decision to an ama hit and run merchant in an awful fashion much like the IndianFighter tried to do, anyone who holds they're feet with Spence will get beaten.

I for one cannot wait to see Errol turn pro, fights like a pro in amateur fights and still manages to do well - which is an almost impossible thing to do, hurting guys withs 10oz ama gloves and head guards, imagine how heavy handed he will be with smaller gloves and no head gear. Frightening potential

Go Spence

You see the United States Boxing came through with its check. Before they were trying to be big macdaddy's and shit going " we ain't paying you shit sucka ass bitch" and the AIBA was like "oh we'll see motherfucker" and after the loss then the US paid up and boom the ref became a scape goat. Japan had to do the same thing.

Spence v Evans final would be awesome (assuming that's possible)
Actually I think the only possibility of them meeting is in the final (or fighting for a bronze medal)

Im hoping for this scenario myself

Here is the remaining bracket:

Side 1

Fred Evans (UK) vs. Custio Clayton (Canada)

Winner meets the winner of...

Alexis Vastine (France) vs. Taras Shelestyuk (Ukraine)

...in the Semis

Side 2

Errol Spence Jr. (USA) vs. Andrey Zamkovoy (Russia)

Winner meets the winner of...

Serik Sapiyev (Kazakhstan) vs. Gabriel Maestre Perez (Venezuela)

...in the Semis.

OK based on all the talk on this thread I just put a bet on Spence to win the gold at 9-1.
