fatcity,
Don't ask that Phony New Yorker 'Jack London' where it is, because he has no clue. It is still there, East 7th Street (between 2nd and 3rd Avenue). Also, Houlihan's (opposite Grand Central Station on 42nd Street). I wanted to meet Jack London there, but he said it never existed. Only been there for 30+ years. Jack London, lives in London, Arkansas. |

"Houlihans (122 East 42nd Street) You can call them to confirm your reservation (212) 922-5607." Yeah, I figured you'd have that east side hoity toity fag joint's number handy in your purse. "McSorleys Ale House (15 East 7th Street)..." What do you think the address "E. 7th Street" means, einstein, that it's on "Third Avenue"? I used to know a cute girl who lived on 7th St., right next to it. McSorleys didn't allow women in for a hundred years. When they first became co-ed men and women had to share the same bathroom because it was the only one. Rather sexy I thought. "And I purposely put the wrong address to the Bus Terminal, to test you." Yeah right. You're like Pee Wee Herman in "Pee Wee's Big Adventure". When he fell off his bike he got up and dusted himself off and looked around and then said, "I meant to do that." |

I haven't been there in years now since I escaped from NYC. As far as I know it's still the same except they let girls in there now, and they've even got a special bathroom for them to go to, but they did when I was there last too. Good sign on name you got. That was the best boxing movie ever, I think. |

Pee Wee Herman.
"I'm a rebel Dotty' Jack, you said McSorley's wasn't on Third Avenue. You 'phony', 15 East 7th Street doesn't mean Third Avenue. The place is located a 1/4 block down 7th Street. You're making quote's from Pee Wee's Big Adventure. You're so deep ! Where did you get that from, 'The Mine Shaft' or 'Ram Rod's' |

Jack, You said McSorley's wasn't on Third Avenue. Now it is. Can't you get your Avenue's and Street's correct. I'll give you an easy one. Where is the Second Avenue Deli ? |

McSorley's was not on Third. McSorley's has never been on Third. McSorley's is near Third. That does not put it on Third. How did you get to be so stupid? Did you take special courses in it or something? I think that Second Avenue Deli is called Second Avenue Deli because it was originally on 2nd Avenue. There are plenty of other places like that, none of which come to mind at the moment. If McSorleys ever moves around the corner they might call it 7th Street McSorleys to distinguish it from the Third Avenue El, which is also not located on 3rd Avenue, just like McSorley's. Do you know why the Third Avenue El is not located on Third Avenue (just like McSorley's)? Anyway, this thread is about "Pee Wee's Big Adventure", so please try to stick to the subject. |

Whatever happened to Jerry Quarry vs. Earnie Shavers ?
One thing, Don King 'dumped' Earnie after this fight, and focused his efforts on that 'crazed nut job' Jeff 'Candy Slim' Merrit. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Pee Wee: "Come on Dottie. Let's go." Dottie: "Lets go ? Don't you want to see the rest of the movie ? Pee Wee: "I don't have to see it Dottie. I lived it."
