I don't think there is anything in the Kama Sutra about canine's. Unless that's where we get the term doggy style from...

There is nobody out there, no single person, that will do that elevating.

Double your time frame. If Wlad is STILL defending his title against 2-3 ranked contenders a year, in 4-6 years, he will be one of the most dominant champions of all time, any weight class, and will deserve a high ranking spot on the list.

I see it happening, honestly. Wlad will box at least as long as his brother, and he has less mileage. He'll age better then Vitali, and there isn't a heavyweight capable of beating him. Maybe Haye, but Haye had to go completely negative to avoid getting KOed last time...Not confident he could find it in him to suddenly perform that much better.

After all, he was a beltholder, a top contender for years, even had an Olympic pedigree. Wlad didn't want any of that. He sure acted as though he wanted to face Povetkin, but he was really afraid of the Russian. Went as far as to sign a contract and even staged a press conference. Everyone saw through the charade when Wlad posed with a cardboard cut-out of Povetkin. That's when we all knew he had a yellow streak.

Seriously though, that might be how the boxwreck warriors of 2100 misguidedly see it.

Volodymyr's best way to move up the rankings is by beating the top contenders and hope that their career after he retires will enhance his legacy. If he beats a contender who goes on to hold a belt or even unify 2 or more belts it will help more than anything. If he beats six of these guys its hard to imagine that won't happen.

2013 - 3 of these guys

Povetkin, Pulev Fury, Helenius

2014 - Whoever emerges as the top contenders

Price, Abdusalamov, Boytsov, Szpilka, Glazkov, Ortiz, Solis, Mitchell

The ONE rematch Wlad really needed to have (Against Sanders) he did not take. Actually his brother had to step in...his brother who has shared the top spot with him - but they'll never fight!

And people harp on about Dempsey never fighting Wills! For shame.

No amount of padding can save a ledger that has been lacking ever since it suffered a speed bump against the indomitable Ross Purity.
He was Sanders mandatory and tried to rematch him but Vitali vs Sanders was for the RING magazine belt so Sanders dropped the WBO belt to take the more lucrative and prestigious fight for the RING and WBC Titles. Nice revisionism.

Just stay dominant and keep beating top ten ranked fighters on a regular basis for as long as he can and let history be the judge.

Pretty much. I can only hope he beats Price next year or early 2014 and Price goes on to be the next great heavyweight. He's one of the few super heavies coming up that look like the real goods and is in rock solid shape.

As a 'numbers guy' you have a 32-4 Frazier in your top ten, but no 65-1-1 Tunney or 43-1 Bowe, or 50-4 Liston...

As a 'numbers guy' you do not have Marciano top...
