This is a brief fight report from the Reno evening gazette.


A Tasme Contest CHICAGO February 3 About persons witnessed tbe contest last night with small soft gloves five rounds rules between Captain James H Dalton of this city and Jack Burke of Ireland It was announced during tbe course of tbe evening tbat Paddy Ryan would meet Sullivan at any plese or time and for any amount In tbe first round it was evident that Burke was more than a ma ch for Dalton both in science and strength getting in many blows upon bis opponent's face and knocking him down twice in tbe last three rounds It was rather tame and neither was knocked out of time The referee decided that Burke had the best of it
