When did Nuts TV show boxing?

I remember watching Arthur Abraham live on there against Raul Marquez I think it was.

The obvious one is Lewis-Rahman on the BBC. Although this was supposed to be the first fight of a multi fight deal (rumoured to be five fights), Don King demanded that the BBC pay $4 million for the rematch. Sky ended up showing the rematch even though the BBC bid $1 million (an incredible amount given the fight was to take place in America). One can only imagine what Lewis on the BBC could have done for the sport in this country (Lewis-Tyson on the BBC anyone?).

I know Audley Harrison gets the blame for boxing being shunted off the BBC but in truth Don King was probably a bigger reason for why boxing left the BBC TV for seemingly forever.

Nuts TV showed a Chagaev fight too, didnt it? No wonder it went under really, Im guesisng ther spent a lot of money when they were essentially a niche channel with shite programmes.

Could be wrong, but didnt Bravo show some world title fights?

I have strong suspicions that you are that Hammers geezer. He was obsessed with Froch and TV too. Start making threads about SKY and your cover is blown.

They did show wrestling and some MMA but boxing never seemed to be their bag.

2008/9. Picked up a few Sauerland shows. Remember watching Valuev and Povetkin.

The British Broadcasting Corp haven't shown boxing for a long time (other than Olympic). They labelled the sport as 'barbaric'. ESPN (UK) show overseas fights, Sky (though they have cut down their coverage), Boxnation obviously, Primetime, though it's few and far between. Channel 5 have the Maloney fights I believe. Nuts I don't know about. ITV is sketchy, did they show a Khan fight not long back?

In this day and age (Web), there are many outlets to watch fights on, the TV thing has died off....and while we're paying footballers £250,000 a week then Sky will always win with football...it's them that are paying a large percentage of the players wages...boxing doesn't have a hope in hell.

Last fight I paid for on Sky was Hatton - Pac, I've always bought DVDs from traders or used the file sharing site (begins with a Y) the morning after. I don't have Sky anymore because I don't live in England anymore.

Any queries, fire them at me.

Anyone remember that channel on Sky that showed Darren Barker's fight in Canada? They also showed a Mijares fight once as well. Don't think the channel's on anymore, they used to show a lot of wrestling/mma type stuff and it was bit of a surprise when they showed some live boxing.

The Fight Network (formerly the wrestling channel) showed some boxing, not sure if thats what you're thinking of?

I think the Bravo fights I was thinking of was something else, maybe IBO title fight in the UK?

Nuts tv showed Alexander Battleship Potemkin against Taurus Sykes. I believe Sykes was threatened with or had some of his purse withheld for poor performance

It will be interesting to see if Boxnation get the next Top Rank big show. They've had trouble getting those shows of late eg Chavez Martinez . They clearly have deals with Goldenboy Sauerland Russia but no Top Rank shows would be a massive blow. I think the next one is the Rios Donaire double header - it's still available.
