i was prepared to show khan some respect had he fought guzman but instead he claimed a unified 2 weight world champion was bellow his level and called matthyse a nobody. the boys career is over at this level i'd pick lee purdy to Ko khan never mind ajose. i wish ppl would stop making threads about khan. the guy is a joke fighter who was beaten by fucking dany garcia.

You guys honestly think khan is serious about continuing boxing, his career from now onwards will be about careful matchmaking he wont take any big risks as he's done in his last couple of fights, if khan honestly cared about his boxing career he would have been out back in LA after ramadan was over figuring out where he went wrong but instead he's out partying and talking shit over twitter, he's not a marquee fighter anymore.

I think Khan's team did not realise Garcia could punch, Maidana was fairly crude and Zab has seen better days. Do you honestly believe Khan will fight Matthyse and that if it did happen that it could gpo past 4 rounds if that far?

Whilst obviously I am partisan towards my guy as one has to be you will note that I have and always had the utmost respect for Matthyse. He did the great tradition of Argentina boxing proud. For me he was as relentless as Julio Cesar Chavez Senior at his peak. Unfortunately Ajose was not able to quite produce his hero Sugar Ray Leonard moments the other day. I think as the dust settles the key thing is that the correct lessons are learned from this first defeat. I am a great believer in what Micky Duff said that you only truly know how good a fighter is after he has been defeated. Ajose will definitely bounce back and we who know him well know that there is better performances in him. However what cannot happen going forward is the unintended inactivity which has blighted his career. When I look back defeating Bradley Pryce on the short gun assignment made getting him contests in the UK so difficult. Finally one of the biggest problems in boxing is that the best are not fighting the best. This is why I take of my hat to Matthyse, Ajose, Chad Dawson and Andre Ward and next week to Martinez and Julic Cesar Chavez Junior. |

I'm no great big fan of Khan and he does talk some shit (wow a boxer talking shit) but It always puzzles me why some fighters get praise for less achievment, against a guy who's achieved more.
