I just ask this out of curiosity, because Ellenberger is one of my favorite fighters (the only fighter at 170 I like better is Johny Hendricks), and I always love watching Ellenberger, and he's done well in general at 170, but I wonder if he would be better off at 185.
In short, in his last couple of fights, he's had TERRIBLE stamina. I think part of that is because he cuts a lot of weight; I was watching the Shields fight over again, and I was shocked at how much bigger and bulkier Ellenberger looked in comparison to Shields, himself a middleweight before and after that fight. I hadn't really noticed it before. I was talking to some friends about this, and they do think his stamina would be better at 185, but at the same time some of them feel that part of what makes him so dangerous is how he can just manhandle guys at 170, and they think he wouldn't be able to do that/his power wouldn't be nearly as potent on the guys north a division. What do you all think though? You think he'd be best off staying at 170 or moving up to 185? |

Naa
Not for me, there is some logic in the cardio theory, Ellenberger does seem to crash but he runs a big risk of being run over by the monsters @185 He's a WW IMHO, he does need to work on them stamina issues, and its surprising because he is a wrestler |
