Seems Kostya is hellbent on training fighters at the cost of his marriage and family. His wife seems amazingly understanding of the situation.

I read this in the paper today and thought KT was his son in one of the pic's

I was thinking to myself "wow he is looking young and fit" then I noticed it was tim lol.

Anyone know if Tim still fights now his dad's training overseas?

His wife's right. He would be bored in Australia because there's nothing for him to do.

He's training the best cruiserweight in the world over in Russia & is revered over there to an even greater extent than he is here.

Lebedev btw is the son of his former amateur teammate from the Soviet Union national side so those connections go way back.

Lebedev Sr won gold in the LH division at the Sydney Olympics (stopping Danny Green along the way).

Would have been a handy recruit to our professional ranks if someone had the foresight to turn him pro at the same time as Kostya.

Haven't heard Tim's name mentioned for a long time. Makes Kostya's move all the more surprising if Tim is continuing to fight and his dad, Kostya the fight trainer, is leaving without him and won't be assisting with his career.

Junior Tszyu should be a prime candidate for our Olympic team in 2016.

Haven't heard his name mentioned in a long time though. Do you know if he is still fighting mate, and if so, what his recent results have been?

Don't know mate but amateur boxing is more of a summer sport in this country so I wouldn't expect to have heard much over the winter months.

The bloke who beat Danny Green was Aleksandr Lebziak. If Denis Lebedev is his son then Aleksandr was 10 years old when he fathered him.
