Sergio Martinez defeated Chavez Jnr by UD after surviving a drama filled 12th and final round

This keeps alive hope of a Daniel Geale vs Martinez mega-bout for all 3 titles

Good fight Martinez was way to slick the while fight got a little sloppy in the final round but outclassed Jr. Hr was strong but had only a punchers chance which showed in the final round. A rematch would only prove that Martinez would not make the same mistake twice.

I didn't see geale at all throughout the fight nor triple G.

I was heart in mouth for the final round. What about Martinez trading shots right after the knock down? I thought he was going to be stopped but he still had enough head movement to avoid JCCs big shots.

Martinez was all class after the fight, so glad he won and dominated one of the most protected fighters in the sport.

Watch suliman strip ward for holding the WBC title with the WBA's and had it to his god son jcc Jr

I dont think so but Martinez v Geale is not going to happen any time soon. The camps have sort of agreed for a rematch already.

Did I miss something? Where did you get that idea? Kellerman said it would be a big money fight but jcc won't kill himself to make MW any longer I think

In the post interview, Martinez said he would give Chavez a rematch.

He said that but I think JCC jr will go to 168 but it might happen again. Geale should go the euro or U.K route. Maybe fight Macklin on the U/C if there is a rematch. He was impressive today.

Macklin or Quinlin. Those are the two he should chase.

Glad Martinez won. I was worried that Martinez would get robbed. So glad it didn't, JCC exposed?
