I've been rewatching the fight and I've noticed how sergio's footwork is in that fight against chavez. I've been wondering why southpaws seem to have a much better time angling out in a way that they can't get hit even if you stay within the distance of whoever they're fighting. I was wondering if there were any orthodox stanced boxers who moved the same way or just as smoothly as sergio does.
If so could someone also give advice on how to angle out certain ways, my boxing gym has always taught to back step instead of angling out like martinez, pacquiao, cotto, marquez. You get the idea. |
