Sugar Ray Leonard said on an HBO event that was just about him where he says His first fight with Duran that that was the hardest he'd ever been hit, said every shot felt like he was being hit with a brick..So how much power did Duran really lose comin up in weight..The Benitez fight does him no justice

I remember having lunch at 1860's down that way and Hackin' Hart Hominy was playing his electric mandolin, a la Yank Rachell, and Yank was there, looked over at me, said "Boxed, this beer is warm as piss. But Hack's playin' some straight up gangsta shit." and I nodded my head. Because I told him not to order any beer, there.

Ive always thought Duran's power was underated once he left the the LW division..but at Jr.WW and WW he knocked the shit outa alot of really good fighters

He couldnt stay at LW forever, and the fight with him and SRL had to happen...I think it took something outa both fighters

I think most fighters at WW underestimated Durans control and power..for a little guy he had murderous power...
