Igor is most overlooked fighter of 1970's. Also most screwed over, by his own country. He should have ben in Olympics. Two wins over prime Stevenson, one by ko, yet Stevenson is one who was more famous.

Well youve taken every contender in the top 30 from the 60s to beat him, you may as well continue with amateurs from the 70s to beat him

Boxing is boxing, but three rounds is very different from fifteen. One might even say someone who has the kind of lasting success at one of them had a physical disposition to it.

Maximizing your advantages in a short period of time requires a vastly different skillset than competing over five times that same distance. Who knows if he'd even have been a lasting contender?

The chances of him beating Ali at his peak even if he did turn pro early are statistically miniscule.

Random thought: What if George Foreman had remained an amateur his entire career?

Thank god Green wasnt around the mid 60s


Here SP, while ive got your attention, have you got any information on a hard hitting guy called carmelo negrone? I think he fought at bantamweight but i may be wrong
