Default Jermain Taylor vs Raul Munoz Oct. 12

F####News is saying Taylor will be facing Munoz on Oct 12 on Showtime. Seems to be part of a ShoBox tripleheader.

Edit:

Seems it will only be highlights of Taylor's fight on the telecast and not the entire fight.

Probably the worse fighter Taylor has fought in a decade. Mike Jones ko'ed him in 2 a year ago at welterweight. Alfonso Gomez ko'ed him in 1 a few years back.

I just looked at his record 22-15(11 losses by ko) and I don't think he's beaten a fighter with a winning record in his career, outside of his first fight.

He's a horrid opponent and either this is all they could get on less than 2 weeks notice or Taylor's people have absolutely zero confidence in him.

definitely a step back for jt. I think it's abundantly clear that he needs to call it a day, at least at the upper epsilon. he has zero punch resistance. he came through in his last fight, but was dropped badly. it was a disaster that he played off by saying that he's a warrior and will always get up. no jt, the elite at MW will knock you OUT, not down, almost guaranteed. i'd give 50/50 shots to guys like andy lee, macklin and barker against him.

I think he should try and fight one of them they are winnable fights, as soon as he fights anyone with a bit pop of its game over tho

I wouldnt describe andy lee's power as shit. if he lands on jt's chin with a straight right, a KO is very feasible.

Lee's power is enough to knockout Taylor but i dont think he will land that good, Taylor is still levels above him skillwise
