Not really.

If you take away his jab then you get a gung-ho version of Lewis and he's still very, very dangerous.

He KO'd Bruno. Had a barnstormer with Mercer. And I wouldn't say Vitali took the jab away, but Lewis definitely neglected it and elected to brawl instead.

It was a good jab and is certianly the best Ive seen on a Brit fighter. It won him a lot of fights,it has to be one of the hardest hitting jabs ever, put guys like Tua off tasting what would follow it.

That's because he was training for Kirk Johnson and was not in the best shape that's why it was a bit of a struggle but he was on top when the fight ended

a very good jab, but a fair few were better. i wouldnt say it was hard because he flicked with it to land more/blind the opponent. but yes, without the jab he had to rely on his size and power to win, which doesnt work to much in his favour because he doesnt have much other then a jab, right hand and right uppercut, his chin wasnt the best and he didnt have much inside game - this is why i think a prime bowe (a holyfield 1/ jesse ferguson bowe, not golota!) would beat lewis, shame for bowes stupidity, his stupid manager, his glutony, and his early brain damage

That Lewis v Bowe did not happen still pisses me off to this day.Rock newman is a complete cunt. The fighters themselves have to take some of the blame though.

yeh i know, personally i think bowe would have beat lewis if he defended against lewis after the holyfield fight, then later in their careers lewis beats bowe, because we seen how bowe turned out :'(

but prime vs prime, i'd pick bowe
